RequirementsTo get started, all you need is an Salesforce.com Enterprise Edition account and an RSS reader that supports secure feeds.
Popular choices include FeedDemon for Windows, NewsGator Inbox
for Microsoft Outlook, NetNewsWire for OS X, and Newsclip
and FreeNews for mobile devices.
Subscribe
Once you've signed up, you'll be able to subscribe to Spanning Salesforce feeds using any RSS reader that supports secure feeds. When prompted, simply log in using your Salesforce.com username and password.
Advanced users can import this OPML file containing all of the feeds.
THAT'S ITWhen information is added or changed in your Salesforce.com account, you'll see it reflected in your feeds. If a new lead is assigned to you,
you'll see it in the My Unread Leads feed. As leads become opportunities, you'll be able to track changes in your pipeline. If you're responsible for customer support,
you'll be notified of case and escalation assignments.
Plus, as new documents are uploaded you'll get not only a notification but also the ability to download any new document with one click. In fact, with your RSS
reader properly configured, new documents will be automatically downloaded as they become available.
